Checking your COMPUTERISED MoT's online. You can now check your current and previous MOT's over the internet. Also any details of failures and repairs etc. can usually be found. I have added this page as a quick link so people can find the MOT on-line checking page and Tax disc online checking pages without having to search through the VOSA and DVLA websites. Click here to check your MOT online. You will need either your registration document (or reference number) and the registration number of the car. If you have an MOT number or Failure number these can get you some information but the Registration document reference number is best for getting the MOT history. The computerised MOT record will give you mileages and dates of tests which can be helpful for substantiating mileages and history. You can also check your tax disc on line or SORN ( Statutary Off Road Nitice ) details on line. DVLA 'should' send you a letter to remind you when it is time to renew, but keep a record for yourself because they are not always reliable. Late SORN notifications start off with a £40 (2007) fine and goes up from there.
